Overview
The Concept
A platform that turns journaling and poetry into a shareable, social experience, letting users personalize their own word editors and share creative, multimedia-rich writing with a community.
Challenges
We relied on self-testing and our own mental models, emphasizing Neilson's Heuristics for a real-life translation: maintaining the book and paper experience. Key navigation decisions: choosing horizontal over vertical scrolling to better mirror the feel of flipping through a real book, bookmarking functionalities.
Outcome
Awarded 'Best UI/UX Design' at Hack To the Beat (@ UVA), we created a specialized platform catered to create and share your poems, scrapbooks, and journal entries with customization and media support.
